SUMMARY:Presentation:How to Tell if You're Disabled: A Hollywood Checklist
DESCRIPTION:North Quad Programming invites you to meet disabled Hollywood actor\, touring drummer\, and surfer Christophe Zajac-Denek for an intimate talk about his remarkable life journey with dwarfism and disability advocacy work. The event will include a lunch reception\, meet and greet\, photo exhibit\, presenter talk\, Q&A\, and the film screening of Standing on Water\, a documentary by Tommy Corey that explores the physical\, mental\, and societal hurdles that Zajac-Denek faces as a little person in an average-height world.\n\nZajac-Denek is the producer and host of the podcast I'm Kind Of A Big Deal: Little People\, Huge Stories\, where he raises awareness about the exceptional lives of people with disabilities\, especially those with dwarfism. Zajac-Denek has appeared in various Hollywood films and TV shows\, including The Return Season of Twin Peaks directed by David Lynch\, 10 episodes of Jimmy Kimmel Live\, Sasquatch Sunset alongside Jesse Eisenberg and Riley Keough\, to name a few. He has been a guest on over 50 podcasts\, including those for R.E.I. and Culture Shift on NPR. \n\nZajac-Denek feels the most rewarded when he gets to speak to groups of people. Among many topics of diversity and inclusion\, he has presented about the importance of hiring people with disabilities at Autodesk\, FleishmanHillard\, PodFest\, and Podcast movement\, among others.\n\nRSVP to join us for this unique opportunity to help us welcome Zajac-Denek all the way from Los Angeles.
