DESCRIPTION:Faculty perform from the MPulse Percussion Institute – one of U-M's summer performing arts programs for high school aged students. Students have lessons\, classes\, and projects centered around marimba\, snare drum\, timpani\, drum set\, and percussion ensemble\, and explore non-Western musical traditions\, improvisation\, musical technology\, and how to prepare for college auditions.\n\nThe MPulse Percussion Institute is led by SMTD faculty Doug Perkins and Ian Antonio\, with Paige Madden.
