SUMMARY:Workshop / Seminar:BME Summer Workshops @ Michigan
DESCRIPTION:The Engineering in Cardiovascular Medicine Workshop is a joint venture among partners in Michigan Medicine (Cardiac Surgery\, Cardiovascular Medicine) and the College of Engineering (Biomedical Engineering) aiming to bring together PIs and trainees from the University of Michigan and beyond to share translational cardiovascular research.\n\nThe two-day event will be geared towards delivering high quality presentations\, poster presentations\, workshop-wide activities for engagement and networking\, as well as focused sessions on building bridges between clinical and engineering trainees. This structure is designed to catalyze cross-disciplinary dialogue across engineering\, clinical cardiology\, and translational research.\n\n\"Engineering in Cardiovascular Medicine\" is scheduled for August 6-7 (Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) in Palmer Commons. It is co-sponsored by U-M Biomedical Engineering\, the Frankel Cardiovascular Center\, and U-M Cardiac Surgery\, with additional participation and support from the National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center for Cellular Metamaterials (CELL-MET). DESCRIPTION:The ITS Internship Program Showcase is an annual event that serves to celebrate the projects and achievements of the ITS summer interns. In the twelfth year of implementation\, the 2026 intern cohort is made up of 61 undergraduate and graduate students from colleges and universities across the country.\n\nTo acknowledge and celebrate every interns’ contributions\, this showcase is scheduled in such a way that every intern has a chance to present both their departmental projects and cohort projects.\n\nDepartmental projects are presented through a walk-in poster session around the hall\, while cohort projects are presented collectively on the main stage.\n\nJoin us in celebrating another successful summer with our interns!\n\nDetails:\nVenue: Michigan Union - Rogel Ballroom\nDate: August 6\, 2026\nTime: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
