DESCRIPTION:Swing Ann Arbor hosts a beginner drop-in lesson and social dance every Wednesday! No partner or experience needed. You do not need to be student of the University of Michigan to attend. Just bring yourself and some comfy shoes! WHEN:\nJoin us Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm for a free beginner drop-in lesson\, followed by a social dance from 7:30-9:30pm! COST:\nAdmission to beginner drop-in lesson: FREE!\nAdmission to social dance: $5 or FREE if you take the beginner drop-in lesson COVID PROTOCOL:\nProof of vaccination INCLUDING BOOSTER shot is required to attend a SAA in-person events. DESCRIPTION:Jason Tallant\, data manager and research specialist at the U-M Biological Station\, will discuss the 2023 year of open data as part of the 2023 Summer Lecture Series at the U-M Biological Station\, an 11\,000-acre research and teaching campus just south of the Mackinac Bridge on Douglas Lake. He’ll survey the landscape of scientific research expectations for funding agencies like the National Science Foundation and NASA and break down how to implement research through open science best practices\, looking at a variety of research specialty paths.
