As the University of Michigan's only fully student-run\, student-directed orchestra\, Michigan Pops is putting on a show guaranteed to excite audience members of all ages as we play music guaranteed to make our audience feel the groove and dance along! Join us for a night of fan-favorites\, from a medley of ABBA’s greatest hits to Alexander Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances\, and so much more! “Pops En Pointe” will be an engaging and dynamic show utilizing a unique combination of stage antics\, vocal performers\, multimedia\, and special effects. \n\nPops appeals to the music-lover in everyone with its diverse repertoire\, ranging from classical pieces to popular film scores and medleys. Working under the guidance of the University Activities Center\, the Michigan Pops Orchestra’s members comprise a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students studying anything from English to Engineering\, across all colleges and schools at the University of Michigan.
