With increased density and vertical growth in our community. As buildings grow taller and more complex\, emergency response requires specialized training\, equipment\, and coordination. Chief Kennedy will discuss how these changes impact response times\, access\, fire suppression tactics\, and life safety systems\, as well as the importance of prevention\, code compliance\, and strategic planning to ensure we continue to deliver effective\, reliable emergency services.\n\nAAFD Chief Mike Kennedy has 32 years of experience in the fire service and has been with the City of Ann Arbor since December 2017. He is a Center for Public Safety Excellence Chief Officer and graduate of Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense and Security.

Registration is required for food planning purposes. \n\n***Doors open 5:15\, programming begins promptly at 5:30pm.***\n\nA person’s money story shapes their thoughts and decisions about earning\, spending\, and saving money. Of course\, family shapes one’s money story\, but their school\, community\, traditions\, and so much more influence it\, too. In this interactive workshop\, participants will get curious about where their money beliefs come from\, hear from their peers about what they think about money\, and learn how to rewrite a money story that helps start to create a healthier relationship with money.
