SUMMARY:Workshop / Seminar:DOE EFRC Information Session and Call for Limited Submissions
DESCRIPTION:The DOE Energy Frontier Research Center (EFRC) program funds multi-investigator\, multi-disciplinary centers that accelerate transformative scientific advances for the most complex challenges in materials sciences\, chemical sciences\, geosciences\, and biosciences. EFRCs integrate experiments\, theory\, computation and AI/ML\; develop innovative experimental and theoretical tools that illuminate fundamental processes in unprecedented detail\; and create an enthusiastic\, interdisciplinary workforce of energy-focused scientists. \nThe EFRC is a limited submission competition with three U-M pre-applications allowed. The internal deadline to submit to OVPR is Mar. 9. Learn more about the limited competition. \nOVPR and the College of Engineering will host an EFRC information session on Tuesday\, March 3 at 12 pm via Zoom. Register to learn more about program requirements and strategies for successful applications.
