For example\, we may be asked to predict the effect of a merger of two major high-tech firms on prices and innovation\, to determine theeffect of unfavorable drug test results on the stock price of a leading pharmaceutical company\, or to value a patent on smartphone technology thatmight have been infringed. Consultants from Cornerstone Research will be holding a presentation on economic consulting\, and we will walk through an interactive case interview. By participating in the presentation\, you will gain a better understanding of the analytical approach used to solve complex economic and financial problems. You will have the opportunity to solve conceptual puzzles that our consultants face every day and learn about common pitfalls to avoid during case interviews. Following the case overview\, you will have the chance to meet our consultants and follow-up with any questions regarding the case discussed.
