SUMMARY:Other:Read and Look | The Ancient World in 100 Words
DESCRIPTION:What were pyramids used for? How did the Romans fight battles? Which Greek inventions are still used today?\n\nDuring our December “Read and Look” program\, we will explore concepts from the ancient Mediterranean covered in *The Ancient World in 100 Worlds*\, written by Clive Gifford with illustrations by Gosia Herba. Come join us at this family-friendly event as we find artifacts in the Kelsey Museum’s galleries that coincide with the peoples\, objects\, and ideas highlighted in the book. We will also have replica artifacts on hand for kids to touch! \n\nThe Kelsey’s “Read and Look” program is great for our younger visitors\, ages 4–8. All children must be accompanied by an adult.\n\nThis event is free and open to all visitors. If you have any questions or concerns regarding accessing this event\, please visit our accessibility page at https://myumi.ch/zwPkd or contact the education office by calling (734) 647-4167. We ask for advance notice as some accommodations may require more time for the university to arrange.
