The International Studies program coordinator will discuss:\n   \n   • Prerequisites\n   • Major and minor requirements\n   • Sub-plans\n   • How to declare\n   • Additional majors and minors offered at the International Institute\n   • Study abroad\, grants\, and internships\n   • Relevance of an International Studies major or minor\n   \n   Undeclared students should plan to attend an International Studies Information Session and Q&A. SUMMARY:Workshop / Seminar:Promoting High School Attendance
DESCRIPTION:Are you the parent of a high school student with concerns about your teen regularly attending school?\n\nThis workshop\, presented by the University Center for the Child and Family (UCCF) at the Mary A. Rackham Institute\, will is to support families of high school students around promoting school attendance. This workshop will include psychoeducation on common causes and consequences of high school student absenteeism as well as teenage developmental processes.\n\nThis workshop will also provide strategies for positive parent-teen communication and establishing daily routines to make it easier for teens to regularly attend school. Strategies for supporting parents’ own self-care will also be addressed\, along with tips for communication with schools around attendance\, and knowing when it is time to seek professional help.

SUMMARY:Careers / Jobs:Virtual Engineering Career Fair
DESCRIPTION:The Virtual Engineering Career Fair will be held on Tuesday\, October 1\, 2024 from 12-6 PM ET. This event is intended to help employers connect with students studying programs offered through the College of Engineering\, as well as LSA Computer Science and Data Science students for full-time\, internship and co-op employment opportunities.\n\nPre-fair sign ups are required. Sign ups for College of Engineering majors and LSA declared Computer Science and Data Science majors open on Friday 9/27 at 12pm ET. Sign ups for 1-on-1 meetings close on Tuesday 10/1 at 12pm ET.\n\nA list of participating companies will be available within the Events section of Engineering Careers\, by 12twenty and Career Fair Plus.
