DESCRIPTION:Trained mental health counselors are now available for drop-in conversations at different times and locations across campus\, including at Trotter\, the Spectrum Center\, South Quad\, the International Center\, and Bursley.\n\nThis informal\, confidential “office hours” style can be a great fit for students unsure about formal counseling\; for those with a specific\, time-limited concern they’d like to talk through\; or those seeking information on campus resources. Please note: this is not meant for crisis or emergency support.\n\n\"Let's Talk\" will run from January 20th 2025 to April 25th 2025. DESCRIPTION:We are surrounded by unprecedented personal and societal grief. From genocides to climate crises\, school shootings to political upheavals\, our world is filled with sorrow. Join leadership educator and artist Fatema Haque in a workshop designed to enhance your ability to hold and process grief\, both individually and collectively. Utilizing the concept of Negative Capability -- residing in discomfort with an open mind -- participants will engage in meditation\, alter-making\, art\, and small group discussions. Conducted in a gentle\, intentional\, and slow manner\, this immersive experience will help you develop resilience\, foster community\, and find strength in shared sorrow. \nLunch will be served!
