DESCRIPTION:As part of LSA’s Year of Sustainability\, ELI offers a special two-part workshop series to help international and multilingual U-M students and scholars engage in conversations about sustainability and carbon neutrality. Co-presented by ELI Lecturer Trisha Dowling and SEAS graduate student Ryan Yip\n\nPart 1: Participating in Sustainability Conversations on Campus and Beyond (Monday\, October 7\, 2024 6-8PM)\n2024 is the College of LSA’s The Year of Sustainability\, and this workshop equips international and other multilingual U-M students with speaking and listening skills to join conversations about sustainability and support U-M’s carbon neutrality goals\, even if they are not experts on climate issues. Co-presented by ELI Lecturer Trisha Dowling and SEAS graduate student Ryan Yip\, this interactive session will cover key language and vocabulary for sharing your perspective on environmental issues. They will also share strategies for navigating challenging discussions and collaborating across disciplines.
