DESCRIPTION:University of Michigan Retires Association\, Health Day Presentation\nAt the conclusion of this session\, attendees will have information about the\nreasons for anticoagulation with certain abnormal heart rhythms\,\nintracardiac clot\, certain types of cardiac valve replacements\, and other\netiologies. There are many different kinds of anticoagulants as well as\nassociated monitoring factors for safety. The duration of anticoagulation\ntherapy also has pros and cons which will be discussed.
