DESCRIPTION:Joseph Sywenkyj is the 2024-25 Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia’s Distinguished Fellow\,  and a Knight-Wallace Fellow at the University of Michigan. An award-winning American photographer of Ukrainian descent\, Sywenkyj has lived and worked in Ukraine for the last two decades. He has worked throughout Europe and Central Asia for numerous publications and is a frequent contributor to *The Wall Street Journal*. His photographs have been exhibited in galleries and museums\, including the United Nations Visitor’s Lobby in New York and the Taras Shevchenko National Museum in Kyiv.\n\nIf there is anything we can do to make this event accessible to you\, please contact us.
