DESCRIPTION:No Strings is an art exhibit that illustrates quotes from guaranteed income recipients about what an extra $528 per month in no-strings-attached cash meant to them\, as part of the Guaranteed Income to Grow Ann Arbor (GIG A2) pilot program. The art was created by U-M students under the guidance of artist Katie Hammond. The exhibit was curated by Poverty Solutions at U-M\, which designed the pilot and is evaluating the impact of GIG A2. \n\nAt the reception\, you can view and respond to the art as well as hear more about how the project came together.

U-M has long been home to activism\, and this walking tour will visit historically significant locations where you will learn about protests on campus. We will cover women’s activism\, the legacy of the Treaty of Fort Meigs\, the Black Action Movement\, anti-Vietnam War activism\, and more.\n\nGuided walking tour led by student docents. Duration: 1.25 hours\; 1.25 miles.\n\nMeet outside the Michigan League entrance on Ingalls Mall (facing the fountain).\n\nTour will take place in rain or snow\, but will be cancelled for severe weather (registrants will be notified via email).\n\nRegistration required.
