SUMMARY:Tours:Sunday Drop-In Tour | How Romans Got Their Bread
DESCRIPTION:How did ancient Rome feed its massive population? This drop-in tour traces the paths of Roman food supply chains across land and sea. Museum objects tell the story of how food was produced\, moved\, stored\, and distributed—from farms in Egypt\, to the annual grain fleet\, to the so-called “grain dole” that helped supply Rome’s citizens.\n\nThis event is free and open to all visitors. If you have any questions or concerns regarding accessing this event\, please visit our accessibility page at https://myumi.ch/zwPkd or contact the education office by calling (734) 647-4167. We ask for advance notice as some accommodations may require more time for the university to arrange.
