Now that we are back in full swing this semester\, we hope that you will join us for our upcoming aMplify. \n\nYou're invited to our Soundtrack to my Life aMplify night next Monday from 6:00-8:00 PM in the LSA Multipurpose Room (LSA 1040)! Enter by the cube\, and you will walk directly into our sign-in table. \n\nJoin us for a Music themed night featuring food\, games\, and community. We will be having a fun and relaxing night full of music\, conversation\, relaxation\, and some painting/drawing if you wish! DESCRIPTION:The application window for the 2025 Leadership Crisis Challenge (LCC) opens on Wednesday\, January 8!\n\nLCC is a premier action-based learning experience that immerses participants in a simulated business and media crisis\, powered by the Sanger Leadership Center at Michigan Ross. Students play the part of executives responding to the issues as they unfold\, while leveraging the expertise of communication coaches\, faculty\, and a board of directors made up of esteemed U-M alumni\, to prepare for a press conference attended by real members of the media.\n\nThis year's LCC will be held on January 30-31 and is open to ALL U-M students. There are two levels of competition—graduate and undergraduate. Two undergraduate teams and two graduate teams will receive a scholarship\, split among participants. In addition to the competition\, there will be educational workshops\, a networking session\, and access to the Big House field.\n\nDon't miss out on this amazing\, one-of-a-kind opportunity! SUMMARY:Well-being:Learn to Practice Self Compassion Group
DESCRIPTION:The group is for those who struggle with intense self-criticism\, as well as related mental health challenges like anxiety and depression. This group helps participants learn the practice of enhancing one’s emotional well-being by acting kindly toward ourselves.\n\nWhat to Expect\n\nThe MARI Self-Compassion group includes a mix of psycho-education\, group discussions\, and experiential exercises aimed at helping participants manage painful emotions and life’s difficulties through the cultivation and practice of self-compassion. \n\nThe group will meet virtually (via Zoom) from 5:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Thursdays\, for eight weeks. Referrals are welcome.
