SUMMARY:Social / Informal Gathering:DMUM Annual 5K
DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to invite you to one of Dance Marathon's largest fundraising events of the year\, our annual 5K! There will be an in-person 5K and 10K\, along with a virtual option for those joining us from across the country. The in-person option will take place on Sunday\, 11/09/25 at 11 am on North Campus (University of Michigan) at The Grove! For each $15 registration\, a cape will be donated to one of the Little Victors at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. We are also excited to announce this year’s race is sponsored by Playa Bowls! They will be providing snacks and treats after the race\, as well as gift baskets for the 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place finishers. \n\nRegister here: https://dmum.donordrive.com/pages/1049\n\nFor those who are unfamiliar with our organization\, DMUM is a student-run nonprofit organization at the University of Michigan that raises funds and awareness for pediatric programs at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor\, Michigan. Contrary to popular belief\, we are not a dance group! Our student leadership body works closely with the community and the rest of our organization to support pediatric therapists through volunteering and by coordinating fundraising and community engagement events to benefit the “Little Victors” – the patients at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. We hope that you join us in our fundraising efforts\, and we can’t wait to see you there!

SUMMARY:Exhibition:Creating the Future of Medicine for 175 Years
DESCRIPTION:As the Medical School celebrates the anniversary of its opening in the fall of 1850\, and Michigan Medicine marks the 100th anniversary of the opening of the \"Old Main\" University Hospital that served as its flagship from 1925 to 1986\, a free museum exhibit explores 175 years of medical education\, research and clinical care. \n\nOpen to the public at the Museum on Main Street operated by the Washtenaw County Historical Society\, the exhibit includes artifacts\, photos and facts about how U-M's medical community grew from humble beginnings on the Diag to become one of the nation's largest and most respected academic medical centers. It also asks visitors to ponder their own attitudes and experiences\, and to submit memories and photos of their time working\, studying\, volunteering or receiving care at U-M's medical campus and beyond. There are also activities for young visitors.\n\nThe museum is open to the public every Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.\n\nFull details about the exhibit\, including parking instructions and how to book a free private group tour on a weekday\, are available at http://michmed.org/museum\n\nThe museum has an accessible entrance at the rear of the building.
