DESCRIPTION:This workshop is open to all graduate students seeking guidance around interviewing for positions beyond tenure track roles\, which can differ greatly from the academic job search process. It also meets the needs of those applying to internships\, including those applying to the Rackham Doctoral Intern Fellowship Program. The workshop will focus on preparing graduate students to navigate the interview process\, and to effectively answer questions by strategically articulating strengths and skills. We will also discuss a framework for answering behavioral interview questions. This event is intended to be interactive\, therefore a recording willnot be available. This workshop is designed for master's students\, doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows. DESCRIPTION:Graduate student Eva Albalghiti & LSA faculty member Jessi Grieser perform on the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Carillon\, an instrument of 60 bells with the lowest bell (bourdon) weighing 6 tons.\n\nThirty-minute recitals are performed on the Lurie Carillon every weekday that classes are in session. During these recitals\, visitors may take the elevator to level 2 to view the largest bells\, or to level 3 to see the carillonist performing. (Visitors subject to acrophobia are recommended to visit level 2 only.) An optional spiral stairway between levels 2 and 3 allows for up-close views of some of the largest bells.
