DESCRIPTION:The American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid blended learning course will help prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults\, children and infants as well as prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies. Participants who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid valid for two years.\nThis is a blended learning course that requires roughly 4 hours of online work prior to the first day of the course.\n**There is no fee for current Michigan Recreation employees. The fee for community members\, faculty\, staff\, or students who are not employed by the Michigan Recreation Dept. is $90. You can use the link here to complete payment.**

DESCRIPTION:Join the Planet Blue Ambassador program and Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum (MBGNA) for an outdoor walk at the Nichols Arboretum. We will go on a short nature trail and engage in reflective activities as we discover the beauty of the Arb. Meet us at the bus stop outside of Markley Hall (facing the hospital on E Medical Center Dr)\, and we'll walk over to the Arb together.\n\nThe event is free and open to any U-M community member\, but registration is encouraged. This event is part of Welcome to Michigan and is primarily intended for students. Please email pba-information@umich.edu with questions.\n\nPlease note that this session requires walking outdoors on an uneven trail over a distance of approximately a mile. This event may be cancelled in the case of hazardous weather conditions - we will contact registered participants if this is the case. Please wear comfortable attire and dress for the weather.
