SUMMARY:Workshop / Seminar:Chitwan Valley Family Study (CVFS) Webinar Series
DESCRIPTION:This webinar will provide an overview of dramatic changes in courtship processes\, spouse choice and interrelationships between courtship process and marital instability. Using the data from Chitwan Valley Family Study\, a non-Western setting\, which until recently was characterized as a society with arranged marriage\, gender segregated marital relationships\, loveless marriages and very low level of divorce\, we investigate the role of couple’s concordance in reporting courtship shaping the relationships between courtship and marital instability. Understanding the complexities between concordance in courtship and marital instability is essential for developing interventions and support systems that promote healthy and stable marriages. There will be a Q&A session after the presentation.\n\nThe webinar will be hosted using Zoom. Registration is required to attend the webinar. Support provided by NICHD (R25 HD101358). Click the link below to register.\nhttps://umich.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJMkdO6spz0sE9APqJ4U3H7TUkQm-dKhNP6Y\n\nAbout the CVFS Webinar Series:\nAttend the webinars to learn more about the Chitwan Valley Family Study (CVFS)\, other research happening at the Institute for Social and Environmental Research – Nepal (ISER-N)\, and data creation for global and comparative population research. Visit the CVFS website to register for upcoming webinars or view past webinars. Support provided by NICHD (R25 HD101358).
