DESCRIPTION:Sling Health Problem Day is the kickoff event for the 2024-25 curriculum. During the event you will hear 6-8 students deliver short pitches on unmet healthcare needs that they are looking to solve! They will share what type of team members they are looking for and then you will have the chance to network with them during the second half of the event to find the best team for you to join! Every team is guaranteed $1\,000 of funding with a chance to win an additional $1\,000 of funding at the end of the year. We will have guest speakers throughout the year to teach you key aspects of building a start-up including how to build a prototype\, how to develop a business plan\, and how to protect your intellectual property. DESCRIPTION:WHAT:Come join Sarah and Steve for a 4-week series exploring Blues on the social dance floor. This series will cover Blues pulse\, connections\, traveling\, shapes as well as the different connections: open\, closed and close embrace (chest-to-chest with your partner).We’ll focus primarily on Ballroomin’ style blues that fits slow jazz music well\, but will also cover Jookin’ blues and music it’s danced to (e.g. Chicago Blues). We’ll be starting from scratch\, so dancers of all levels are welcome! Please note that teachers reserve the right to turn students away if they did not attend the weeks prior\, for the safety of other students.REGISTRATION: Preregistration is required for this series. Please fill out this form prior to attendence.FOOTWEAR:\nNo street shoes allowed. The studio requires that folks bring dedicated dance shoes. No shoes should go from the street to the dance floor.
