DESCRIPTION:Join us for a 30-minute organ recital performed by doctoral student David Stultz.\n\nDivision Street Pipes concerts features talented students and faculty of the U-M Organ Department on Thursdays at 12:15pm on the Richards-Fowkes organ at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. These 30-minute performances are free and open to the public\, and audience members are invited to enjoy their lunch while listening. \n\nThe series is co-sponsored by the University of Michigan Organ Department and St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in an effort to bring organ music to local audiences while connecting U-M organ students with the wider community. Concerts offer attendees the opportunity to hear the versatility of the pipe organ beyond a worship setting. The Winter 2026 concert series begins on January 15 and it will continue weekly through April 16 (with the exception of April 2).

DESCRIPTION:Learn the essentials of creating accessible PDFs! This workshop will cover the pros and cons of the PDF format\, with information on accessible alternatives and how to apply fixes to existing PDFs to make them more accessible. \n\nFor files that must be PDFs\, we will demonstrate key accessibility techniques in Adobe Acrobat. These include generating machine-readable text for scanned documents\; properly exporting content from Microsoft Word to PDF\; understanding and applying tags to document content\; identifying and correcting accessibility issues in images\, tables\, and linked content\; fixing reading order\; adding document metadata\; learning which PDF accessibility standards to follow\; and using accessibility checkers to identify and remediate issues.\n\nAttendees will also gain access to curated resources and tutorials for mastering advanced PDF accessibility techniques.\n\nUnable to attend? No problem! All registered participants will receive a copy of the presentation slides via email. Additionally\, recordings of our presentations are made available on our website and YouTube channel following the completion of captioning.\n\nAmerican Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services and Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) captioning services will be provided. DESCRIPTION:Meghan Wysocki & Joe Antrim perform on the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Carillon\, an instrument of 60 bells with the lowest bell (bourdon) weighing 6 tons.\n\nThirty-minute recitals are performed on the Lurie Carillon every weekday that classes are in session. During these recitals\, visitors may take the elevator to level 2 to view the largest bells\, or to level 3 to see the carillonist performing. (Visitors subject to acrophobia are recommended to visit level 2 only.) An optional spiral stairway between levels 2 and 3 allows for up-close views of some of the largest bells.
