DESCRIPTION:Violinist Sibbi Bernhardsson will present a Chamber Music Forum co-presented by the Strings and Chamber Music Departments. \n\nIn the first half\, Bernhardsson will perform newly-written works for solo violin by six composers from his home country of Iceland and his current home of Oberlin\, Ohio: Finnur Karlsson\, Tryggvi Baldvinsson\, Jeffrey Mumford\, Una Sveinbjarnardottir\, Stephen Hartke\, and Thorkell Sigurbjornsson. In the second half\, Bernhardsson will work with two SMTD chamber music groups\, sharing his experience as a former member of the Pacifica Quartet and long time pedagogue in the chamber music world.
