DESCRIPTION:Thomas Paine’s “Common Sense” was one of the most influential works of the American Revolution. The first edition was published on January 10\, 1776\, with an initial print run of just 1\,000 copies\; but within weeks demand soared. The students of Andy Murphy’s POLISCI 495 course co-curated the exhibition “Revolutionary Paine” to document the whirlwind caused by its publication. On view at the Clements January 16-May 8\, weekdays from 12-4 pm.

DESCRIPTION:We cordially invite you to join us for our Transplant Center Research Symposium on Wednesday\, February 25\, 2026\, in Ann Arbor\, Michigan. Guests are welcome to check in and view our poster session beginning at 12:15 p.m.The symposium will take place from 12:45-5:00 p.m. and will be followed by a reception including beer & wine (with proper ID)\, hors d’oeuvres\, and conversation from 5:00-6:30 p.m. We are delighted to host this celebration of the innovations in transplantation and to enhance collaboration. \n\nThis FREE symposium highlights current innovations in transplantation and the advances shaping its future. The session will focus on the innovations in artificial organs and xenotransplantation\, policy changes in organ allocation\, innovative surgical techniques\, maximizing the use of donation after circulatory death using machine perfusion\, pre-transplant cardiac evaluation and state of the art management of donor derived infections in solid organ transplant recipients. \n\nPresentations will also be live-streamed. DESCRIPTION:Eva Albalghiti performs on the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Carillon\, an instrument of 60 bells with the lowest bell (bourdon) weighing 6 tons.\n\nThirty-minute recitals are performed on the Lurie Carillon every weekday that classes are in session. During these recitals\, visitors may take the elevator to level 2 to view the largest bells\, or to level 3 to see the carillonist performing. (Visitors subject to acrophobia are recommended to visit level 2 only.) An optional spiral stairway between levels 2 and 3 allows for up-close views of some of the largest bells.
