Amanda is passionate about community service, social justice, building interfaith connections, and serving at her Mosque.\u00a0Sara Alazemi -\u00a0Sara is a Master's student in Social Work at the IUPUI School of Social Work, with a concentration in Community Development (Leadership), graduating in May 2023. She will join the PhD program in Fall 2023 at IUSSW. She has a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Kuwait University. She also obtained a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Kuwait University, and her master's thesis was on social factors of deviant behavior among high school students in Kuwait. Sara has experience as a school social worker, for nine years, before going to complete her postgraduate studies at Kuwait University. She has experience in academic teaching at Kuwait University in teaching bachelor's level students. Also, She has worked in the addiction field as an intern at the addiction treatment center in Kuwait. In addition, she had experience counseling adolescents and families in a private counseling center in Kuwait.\u00a0Currently, Sara plans to complete her postgraduate studies in the United States after obtaining a scholarship from Kuwait University to study for a master's and PhD there. Then, she will be appointed as a university teacher at Kuwait University, College of Social Sciences, Department of Social Work.
