The word \u201cfawn\u201d is also commonly confused with \u201cfaun,\u201d a human-animal deity and the protagonist of Nijinsky\u2019s famously controversial ballet \u201cAfternoon of a Faun.\u201d This performance weaves these various etymological and mythological lineages of \u201cfawn\u201d and \u201cfaun\u201d into an inherently queer dreamscape that asks questions about grief, survival, desire, power, and vulnerability in a precarious ecosystem.
