Studios, directed by Sally Clegg (Lecturer III and Student Exhibition Coordinator, MFA \u201920) and Abhishek Narula (MFA \u201920); and Sometimes Space, directed by Nathan Byrne (Lecturer I, MFA \u201921). Each space hosts dozens of artists annually for exhibitions, performances, and events, fostering experimental work and building community. For this project, Byrne, Clegg, and Narula have been commissioned to reimagine the pillars on Division Street that flank the gallery. It is a space where memory, imagination, desire, and reality can overlap, distort, and take on new forms. In these moments, the familiar can become strange, and the ordinary can become something unexpected.\n\nReverie brings together student works that explore the space between what is known and what is felt. Across painting, oil pastel, ceramic, digital art, animation, and mixed media, the artists move through imagined landscapes, intimate encounters, memories, figures, and fragments of the everyday. These works blur the boundaries between observation and imagination, allowing emotion and perception to reshape what we recognize.\n\nRather than depicting dreams literally, Reverie considers dreaming as a way of seeing. The works reflect moments of escape, introspection, fantasy, and transformation, where the subconscious can surface and reality becomes open to interpretation. \n\nReverie was conceived and curated by members of the Student-led Exhibition Committee (SEC) and features work by eight SEC members at the Stamps School of Art & Design.
