He joined the Order in 1976 and received his monastic vows in 1986. He has served in various capacities in different parts of India. He served at the Ramakrishna Math at Nagpur, India for 20 years. After this, he was posted as the Head of Ramakrishna Mission in Shillong, Meghalaya, India. He then came to the United States in the Summer of 2001 and since then has been serving as the Minister of the Vedanta Society of Providence.
