She is the recipient of a Pen Hemingway, a Whiting award and a National Book Foundation 5 under 35. Her work has appeared in *Ploughshares*, *The New Yorker*, *Best American Short Stories* and has won an O. Henry Prize. She earned her MFA from Boston University and her other degrees from Harvard.
