Read on for more details about the services provided by each of these teams.\r\n\r\n*Digital Scholarship*\r\nOur digital scholarship team specializes in humanities, social sciences, and interdisciplinary digital project methods and can provide assistance with:\r\n* Conceptualizing, planning, and finding resources for a digital project\r\n* How to version, archive, and preserve a project\r\n* Sustainability, preservation, accessibility, privacy, consent, or grant requirements\r\nNew to digital projects? We can also talk about how to demonstrate the scholarly rigor of your digital project, accurately credit the labor required of the project at every stage, and how to provide evidence and metrics for promotion and job dossiers.\r\n\r\n*Geographic Information Systems (GIS)*\r\n\r\nOur GIS specialists can help with your geographic data needs, including the following:\r\n* Making maps for use in a class, grant proposal, or publication\r\n* Geospatial analysis: identifying spatial patterns and trends in your data\r\n* Georeferencing: assigning geographic coordinates to a historic paper map or a hand-drawn sketch for digital use as a basemap or combined display with other data\r\n* Geocoding: convert a spreadsheet with addresses into latitude-longitude so you can plot your data on a map\r\n* Students of color often report experiencing daily micro-aggressions, harassment, alongside racial discrimination, as they navigate classroom and institutional contexts at their college or university. As such, promoting and ensuring supportive and responsive learning environments can alleviate the stress experienced by students of color as well as strengthen and reframe how we define student success. As their campuses prepare to welcome them back for in-person instruction, recognizing, attending to, and ameliorating the effects of the past year\u2019s accumulated racial trauma will be critical to support and promote student thriving and healing. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the unique racial traumas that undergraduate and graduate students of color may face in and outside of their classrooms.
