In the realm of biological macromolecules such as proteins and nucleic acids, form determines function, so visualizing the three-dimensional structures of molecules is key in researching the \u2018tiny\u2019 macromolecules that perform vital functions in our cells. In Biophysics 421, under the guidance of Markos Koutmos, Assistant Professor of Biophysics & Chemistry, and Liz Tidwell, PhD candidate in Biophysics, students created models with digital modeling software and brought them to life via 3D printing. This exhibit showcases the 3D printed molecules, scaled up to better reveal the structures that inform, make, break, modify, and move within the body.",
