A recently donated orpharion and automatic banjo will be heard, as well as premiere performances of the xylopong table, the electromagnetic harpsichord, and the collection\u2019s newly restored vintage Moog synthesizer. \n\n\nABOUT THE WILLIAM P. MALM STEARNS COLLECTION CONCERT SERIES AND INSTRUMENT PRESERVATION FUND\n\nThis concert series and fund is named in honor of William P. Malm, University of Michigan Professor Emeritus of Music and Director of the Stearns Collection of Musical Instruments. Professor Malm\u2019s glorious career is marked by his leading role in the early establishment of a highly ranked graduate program in ethnomusicology at the University of Michigan that continues to train generations of distinguished scholars.
