How do existing residents of these regions feel about the prospect of new neighbors? And how do different types of messages on the topic, reflecting themes present in common media messages, influence destination community members\u2019 attitudes toward climate migrants, toward climate change, and toward various climate mitigation and adaptation policies? \r\n\r\nAbout the Speaker: \r\nNathaniel Geiger, Assistant Professor at SEAS\r\n\r\nNathaniel Geiger is an assistant professor in the Behavior, Education and Communication specialization. He joined SEAS from Indiana University, where he was an assistant professor of communication science at The Media School. Geiger conducts experimental and survey research in lab, field and online settings that examines how people become motivated and empowered to take action on climate change and other environmental issues.
