In Biophysics 421, under the guidance of Markos Koutmos, Assistant Professor of Biophysics & Chemistry, and Liz Tidwell, PhD candidate in Biophysics, students created models with digital modeling software and brought them to life via 3D printing. Built in collaboration with the University of Michigan, the LUX-Zeplin is the world\u2019s most sensitive dark matter experiment. SURF also hosts experiments in biology, geology and engineering.\r\n\r\nGina Gibson is an internationally exhibiting artist and professor of Graphic Design at Black Hills State University. In 2019, Gibson became the first artist in residence at the Sanford Underground Research Facility.
