This symposium gathers six art historians, each working on different sites entangled in varied ways within Spanish colonial networks, to explore how objects\u2014as assemblages of both physical matter and ideas about the wider worlds that those substances materialized\u2014played a fundamentally locative role for period audiences who navigated them.
