This talk explores the journey from evidence-based intervention to sustainable classroom practice, drawing on the implementation of InPACT (Interrupting Prolonged Sitting with Activity) across Michigan schools. Dr. Hasson will examine why promising physical activity interventions often fall short during implementation and how implementation science can help close the gap between adoption and everyday use. She will highlight three complementary strategies\u2014Replicating Effective Programs, implementation teams, and implementation facilitation\u2014and share lessons from their application in diverse school settings. The talk will introduce a precision implementation approach: rather than assuming every school needs the same support, implementation strategies can be stepped up according to the barriers, resources, and readiness of each school. Attendees will leave with practical insights into how to move beyond simply asking, \"Does it work?\" to asking, \u201cWhat support does this setting need to make it work\u2014and sustain it?\u201d\n\nBio: \nDr. Rebecca Hasson is the Victor L. Katch Collegiate Professor of Kinesiology and an associate professor of Movement Science at the University of Michigan. She is a nationally recognized expert in children's health, physical activity, and health equity. She created InPACT and InPACT at Home to help children be more active through fun, short activity breaks that fit easily into the school day and family routines. For more than 15 years, Dr. Hasson has worked with schools, healthcare providers, and families to develop practical, evidence-based programs that improve children's physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
