Are you a primary caregiver? Did you take time off before coming to UM? Are you the first in your family to get a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD?

Nontraditional students bring a wealth of knowledge due to their experiences, yet they may not realize the power of these skills nor incorporate them into the search process for leadership positions.

Leadership, job and volunteer positions often list hard skills as minimum criteria, but what sets you apart from the rest of the pool? Come together to reflect on the 21st Century marketable soft skills you possess and work towards landing those opportunities!
