ABOUT
Story Lab develops executive-level presence and communication skills through storytelling workshops and events. To be an effective leader — at work, in the community, or in your personal life — you must be able to communicate with impact. Often this means telling stories that are meaningful to you and others, and doing so in the rich language and expressive style of a seasoned storyteller. If you can craft and deliver an effective story, you will be better able to convey your value to recruiters, inspire and motivate classmates and colleagues, and influence your audience. At Story Lab, you’ll find an immersive experience and an opportunity to hone your skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Location: Art and Architecture Building
Organized By: A. Alfred Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning

Mentorship is wonderful, rewarding, life-changing, transformative, effective, gratifying, substantive, and beneficial. It is also challenging, time-consuming, expensive, fragmented, hard to measure, and elusive. Mentoring experiences are all unique, and grounded in the impetus to share and to connect. As a mentor or a mentee, once you’ve had a taste of mentorship, you want more. On January 30, 2023, join panelists from the Equity in Architectural Education Consortium (EAEC), who will be in conversation about mentorship in the discipline, the profession, and its future in architecture and its related fields. Over the course of three separate panels, the discussion will share experiences and recommendations on: how mentoring provides a strong start to your education and career; where mentorship can establish new relationships and surprising paths for your professional development; ways mentorship boosts your capacity to judge your own advancement and excellence. Join us in this effort to better understand where we agree, where we disagree, and where we can find areas for collective action.

This year’s discussion is grateful to honor the legacy and impact of Taubman College alumnus, Raoul Wallenberg, remembered and honored for his courageous humanitarian acts in World War II Hungary.

Panelists and guest moderator:

Akima Brackeen (Jeanne and John Rowe Fellow and Visiting Assistant Professor, Illinois Institute of Technology, IIT)
Andrew Chin (Interim Dean, School of Architecture and Engineering, Florida A&M University, FAMU)
Edmund Graham (Associate Director, National Center for Institutional Diversity; University of Michigan, NCID UM)
Bradford Grant (Interim Chair, Howard University, HU)
Coleman Jordan (Thesis Director and Assistant Professor, Morgan State University, MSU)
Isaac Mangual-Martínez (Thesis Coordinator and Visiting Instructor, Virginia Tech)
Stephanie Pilat (Director of the Division of Architecture, University of Oklahoma)
David Rifkind (Director of the School of Architecture, University of Florida)
Carmina Sánchez-del-Valle (Professor, Hampton University)
Elisa Silva (Associate Professor, Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab and Department of Architecture, Florida International University, FIU)

The Raoul Wallenberg Lecture was initiated in 1971 by Sol King, a former classmate of Wallenberg's. An endowment was established in 1976 for an annual lecture to be offered in Raoul's honor on the theme of architecture as a humane social art.

Positive Links:
The Positive Links Speaker Series, presented by Michigan Ross’ Center for Positive Organizations, offers inspiring and practical science-based strategies to build and bolster thriving organizations. Attendees learn from leading positive organizational scholars and connect with our community of academics, students, staff, and leaders.

About the talk:
Despite our deep desire to feel a sense of belonging, many of us feel isolated. The rise of technology and modern workplace practices have led people to be even more disconnected, even as we remain constantly contactable. And as our human interactions have decreased, so too have our happiness levels. This is sparking a crisis in mental health that will have repercussions for years, leaving people lonelier and organizations less productive and profitable, too.
Join us for a conversation with Christine Porath, author of Mastering Community, to discover just how important thriving communities are to our wellbeing and the success of organizations and learn what steps you can take to create them. In this fireside chat facilitated by Gretchen Spreitzer, Porath will share ways to unite and grow your communities—be it in the workplace, the PTA, sports, or places of worship—and make them thrive.

About Porath:
Christine Porath is a tenured professor at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. She’s the author of Mastering Community, Mastering Civility, and co-author of The Cost of Bad Behavior.

Her speaking and consulting clients include Google, United Nations, World Bank, Microsoft, Marriott, World Health Organization, and Cleveland Clinic.

She received her BA from College of the Holy Cross, where she was a member of the women’s basketball and soccer teams, and her PhD from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Host:
Gretchen Spreitzer, Faculty Advisory Board, Center for Positive Organizations; Associate Dean for Engaged Learning and Professional Development; Keith E. and Valerie J. Alessi Professor of Business Administration; Professor of Management and Organizations

Series Sponsors:
The Center for Positive Organizations thanks Sanger Leadership Center, Tauber Institute for Global Operations, Samuel Zell & Robert H. Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies, and Diane (BA ‘73) and Paul (MBA ‘75) Jones for their support of the 2022-23 Positive Links Speaker Series.

Register to join the 2023 Privacy@Michigan keynote with Dr. Kirsten Martin on Friday, February 17 at 11 a.m.

Dr. Kirsten Martin for a Privacy@Michigan keynote presentation on privacy expectations on online platforms. Standard approaches to privacy assume individuals relinquish privacy expectations when online or have focused on individuals in relation to a single company. Platforms, such as social media, marketplaces, search engines, etc, are unique in having duties beyond a standard company while also having access to the data of millions of individuals. Dr. Martin will discuss how we need to think about platforms, particularly powerful platforms, as having an obligation to respect the privacy of their users and what that obligation actually entails. Dr. Martin is a University of Michigan College of Engineering alumna.

Dr. Florian Schaub, Assistant Professor of Information, School of Information and Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, College of Engineering, will facilitate Q&A time after the keynote presentation.

This hybrid event will be hosted in person in Forum Hall, on the fourth floor of Palmer Commons, and livestreamed on the Privacy@Michigan events page [https://safecomputing.umich.edu/events/privacy-at-michigan/privacy-day-2023/Keynote-Dr-Martin]

This session will feature panelists who will discuss the different perspectives of U.S. Immigration, their journey, and resources. Register for the zoom link on Sessions @ Michigan

Dr. Silvia Pedraza (Professor of Sociology and American Culture at the University of Michigan) - She was born and raised in Cuba, from where she immigrated with her family at the age of 12. Her research interests include the sociology of immigration, race, and ethnicity in America, and the sociology of Cuba's revolution and exodus. Her work seeks to understand the causes and consequences of immigration as a historical process that forms and transforms persons and nations; as well as social revolutions’ rupture with the past and attempt to create a different present. With a B. A. and M. A. from the University of Michigan, Silvia Pedraza has long been a Wolverine. She holds a Ph. D. in Sociology from the University of Chicago, where she specialized in Demography as well as Stratification, and in Latin American Studies.

Rebeca Ontiveros-Chavez (Managing Attorney at the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center’s) - She serves children who entered the United States and are detained in federal custody in facilities contracted by the Office of Refugee Resettlement and children who have been released to sponsors in Michigan. She has also represented individuals in the metro Detroit area on a variety of immigration matters. In 2019, she was appointed by the Michigan Supreme Court to the Foreign Language Board of Review as the Limited English Proficiency Populations Advocate. She is the co-founder of the Immigrant Justice Lab, an interdisciplinary lab that brings students together from different disciplines at the University of Michigan and MIRC attorneys to work on various projects that advance client needs and improve legal services. She also advocates for equity as a member of the Michigan Advocacy Program’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Melanie Grund (Senior Advisor on Immigrant Affairs, Food Security, and Housing for the Oakland Executive) - She is the founder of GCB Global Strategies, a global entrepreneur specializing in strategic planning and project management for non-profit organizations as well as political mentoring for foreign-born populations in southeast Michigan. As a young peace activist, she worked with children from both sides of The Troubles in Northern Ireland. She went on to work for Congressman Sander Levin and built a comprehensive outreach plan for the wide variety of foreign-born populations in his district, particularly on refugee issues and resettlement. She left government work in January 2015 to start GCB with the mission of “leaving the world better than she found it.” Currently, Melanie serves as the Senior Advisor on Immigrant Affairs, Food Security, and Housing for the Oakland Executive. She is a Core Member of the Southeast Michigan Regional Refugee Resettlement Collaborative and co-chairs the housing sub-group. In December 2023, she will graduate from the Ford School with her Master of Public Affairs where she focuses on immigration policy and food systems change.

Students combine coursework with an internship that reflects their particular area of interest (such as American politics, international studies, history, the arts, public health, economics, the media, the environment, science, and technology). Students work four days a week, attend an elective one evening a week, and a research course on Friday mornings. They spend their weekends exploring the city and taking in cultural events.

Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month 2023: Kick-Off (Opening Event) (March 9, 2023 6:30pm) https://events.umich.edu/event/105549 105549-21812110@events.umich.edu Event Begins: Thursday, March 9, 2023 6:30pm
Location: Michigan League
Organized By: Multi Ethnic Student Affairs - MESA

The Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AA&PI HM) at the University of Michigan invites you to celebrate our heritage month opening event! While the month is federally recognized in May, the campus community celebrates the month from mid-March to mid-April to align with the academic calendar. To celebrate the Pacific Islander (or, Oceanian) community, we also host PI Heritage Week dedicated to the histories, heritages, communities, and identities of the Oceanian community.

The kick-off is expected to take place at 6:30 pm on March 9th, 2023 at the Michigan Room in the Michigan League. This year our theme is Generational Change and Healing. Our Planning Committee selected this theme after conversations around wanting to build toward unity and increase self-awareness within our communities. The historical resilience of both the Asian American and Oceanian communities are clear and, despite the violence we have faced and continue to face, we choose instead to center our healing. Our communities often draw from inherited knowledge and wisdom, invoking inspiration and a push for change in the younger generations and generations to come. This heritage month, we hope to reinforce our healing by hosting events and conversations that build, uplift, and challenge our communities.

If you are interested in tabling and showcasing your art at the kick off, please submit the form here: https://forms.gle/QdYmVXdqragyhMdE9

Keep up with us on instagram @AA.PIHM

Please email Aia Hawari (aiah@umich.edu) with any questions or concerns you may have.

For more info and to apply: https://www.cew.umich.edu/advocacy-initiatives/twink-frey-visiting-social-activist-program

Each year the Twink Frey Visiting Social Activist (TFVSA) Program brings to CEW+ a social justice activist whose work affects women and recognizes gender equity issues. One goal of the program is to build the capacity and effectiveness of social activists by giving the TFVSA time, space, and support to work on a project that would not be possible under the activist’s usual working circumstances.

The TFVSA program gives the selected TFVSA time for reflection, research, planning, and writing related to their area of activism. Each TFVSA is required to work on a project that will advance their future work and potentially benefit other activists.

If selected, the applicant is invited to reside near campus for up to one month or make intermittent visits to Ann Arbor and work remotely. The 2024 residency will take place during the winter semester with a presentation of their project the following fall semester at the CEW+ Annual Advocacy Symposium. The activist receives a $10,000 stipend to cover their expenses while in Ann Arbor. Travel expenses to and from Ann Arbor are separately reimbursed by the endowment fund.

ELIGIBILITY

The TFVSA program supports activists whose work addresses gender equity issues that affect the lives of women and/or girls. The program defines social justice and equity programs broadly to include activism in such areas as housing, employment, income support, food security, education, violence, child care, health care, and employer benefits like paid sick leave and retirement income.

Understanding Resiliency and Capitalizing on Adversity (March 16, 2023 5:00pm) https://events.umich.edu/event/104858 104858-21810364@events.umich.edu Event Begins: Thursday, March 16, 2023 5:00pm
Location: Michigan Union
Organized By: Barger Leadership Institute

Unprecedented global crises have proven the critical need to develop the resiliency to overcome adversity and thrive at individual, team, and leadership levels. Understanding the true role of adversity enables us to embrace challenges as catalysts for change. Significant challenges in every context constantly emerge, and the wisdom needed to thrive in this dynamic environment is essential for our growth and development.

This workshop explores the resiliency theory framework, focusing on practical insights, knowledge, and next steps to build resilient habits as individuals, teams, and leaders. This workshop uses interactive online activities, small and large group discussions, and personal reflections to help participants understand individual, team, and leadership resiliency, and begin building resilient mindsets at each level.

The BLI, M-LEAD, Army ROTC, Air Force ROTC and Navy ROTC are excited to invite our students and emerging undergraduate leaders to join us on March 16th for this interactive workshop on resiliency.

PRESENTER
Justin Stoddard, PhD, serves as an Assistant Professor and Chief of Character and Leadership Innovation at the U.S. Air Force Academy Center for Character and Leadership Development (CCLD), where he is responsible for leading character and leadership development innovation efforts for the USAFA Team. Justin’s expertise in resiliency and overcoming challenges supports and explores methods to improve and refine the delivery of character and leadership development programs.

Beginning the journey to your STARS: Designing and growing a successful program (March 21, 2023 12:00pm) https://events.umich.edu/event/105608 105608-21812262@events.umich.edu Event Begins: Tuesday, March 21, 2023 12:00pm

Facilitated by Cindy Lustig and STARS Group

Initiating and supporting under-represented students’ sustained involvement and success in research (or other areas of academia) is an inspiring goal. The STAR program’s student-led nature and small-group mentorship foster community and interconnectedness that last well beyond the program’s official duration. Some of our original graduate mentors are still in touch with their STAR mentees even though both have graduated from UM. STAR is a source of joy, purpose, and inspiration for those involved, and one we would love to share! However, setting up a new program can be intimidating. The workshop will be a lecture with plenty of stops for questions and discussion. We will start by describing STAR’s beginnings as a small pilot program, and the process by which we regularly assess its progress, make adjustments, and then expand it. We have made many of our materials available via a peer-reviewed publication (written by our graduate student mentors!) and on the Open Science Foundation. We hope that by the end of the workshop, participants will have a good roadmap for how to build a program in their units and may even take us up on our offer to “piggyback” on our sessions and train with our mentors for a first year to help you get started.

SCHOLARSHIP, TRANSFERABLE SKILLS, ACADEMIA & RESEARCH (STAR) SCHOLARS

STAR provides first- and second-year students and transfer students from under-represented, low-income, and/or first-generation college student backgrounds with workshops and small-group mentoring that overcome the barriers of the “hidden curriculum” and help them become involved in research.

ABOUT
Story Lab develops executive-level presence and communication skills through storytelling workshops and events.

Towards Solidarity: Allyship in Action is a new 6-hour workshop developed by the University of Michigan Spectrum Center. This workshop aims to deepen our UM community's understanding of, and ability to engage with, LGBTQIA2S+ allyship. In Towards Solidarity, we move beyond basic conceptualizations of allyship and challenge participants to center liberation as they show up actively for LGBTQ+ communities. Learning outcomes include:

Through their participation in this program, participants will:

- Develop their understanding of LGBTQIA2S+ allyship away from “ally” as an identity term and toward solidarity, a developmental, intersectional, and active set of practices;
- Increase self-awareness to more effectively be in solidarity with LGBTQ+ communities;
- Gain knowledge about how LGBTQ+ oppression operates on multiple levels
- Identify inclusive practices, skills, and resources to support LGBTQ+ communities, particularly at U-M;
- Commit to the practice of allyship and showing up in solidarity in their personal and professional lives

In this public offering of our workshop, lunch will be provided. We expect that all participants to complete our 1-hour webcourse prior to joining Towards Solidarity: Allyship in Action.

"In an ideal world, we’d succeed based on our actual skills and performance. But in the real world, subtle perceptions and stereotypes – about appearance, race, gender, experience and more – color others’ perceptions. The result might be that your hard work isn’t noticed or appreciated, your effort doesn’t lead to proportional rewards and your good ideas aren’t taken seriously. But it doesn’t have to be that way. As Harvard Business School Professor Laura Huang has discovered, there’s a way to flip stereotypes and obstacles in your favor. Drawing on compelling case studies and her groundbreaking research on overcoming bias, Huang explains that by finding your edge, you can turn perceived disadvantages into real strengths – and into real success." Join the 16/50 Project for an interactive panel experience to meet the force of women leading communities in Michigan, engage with local government challenges, and learn more about the municipal management profession.

Location: Rackham Graduate School (Horace H.)
Organized By: UNICEF at the University of Michigan

This year, for our second annual gala, UNICEF-UM is focusing on ending child marriage in the United States of America. UNICEF defines child marriage as "a harmful practice and a violation of child rights and believes that marriage under age 18 should be prohibited in all circumstances, everywhere." Both UNICEF and the United Nations declare child marriage a human rights violation.

While our gala seeks to celebrate the work of our incredible members over the past academic year, and recognize and send off our seniors, we also hope to inspire our university community to take action with us in an effort to protect children.

UNICEF at Michigan also welcomes three special guests:

Dr. Fatma Müge Göçek: Dr. Göçek is UNICEF UM's faculty advisor and Professor of Sociology at the University of Michigan.

Her research focuses on the comparative analysis of history, politics, and gender in the first and third worlds. She critically analyzes the impact of processes such as development, nationalism, religious movements, and collective violence on minorities. She is currently working on a theory book, constructing social theory from the vantage point of minorities. Learn more here.

Paul Callejas: Paul is a Community Engagement Associate for the Midwestern United States and has become an integral connection for UNICEF UM's members who are eager to take their commitment to UNICEF USA to the next level. We welcome Paul as our special guest to thank him for his immense efforts in community mobilization and youth empowerment.

Paul grew up in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. Being a product of the public school system, Paul believes that all youth deserve an equal chance of success. He has defeated many socioeconomic barriers as an indigenous man from Guerrero, Mexico; Paul has over six years of youth development and project planning, working with various non-profit organizations. He aspires to help as many Chicago teens reach their potential and become global citizens. Learn more here.

Keynote Speaker

Alicia Godsberg, Deputy Director of Global Programs at UNICEF USA & Keynote Speaker

When Greg Robinson took over the leadership of the James Webb Space Telescope, it was years behind schedule, billions over budget, tarnished by engineering failures and waning stakeholder confidence. The trouble didn’t end there. COVID, hurricanes, and other obstacles soon stood in the way of success. Still, Robinson managed to bring together 20,000 people in 29 countries and 14 U.S. states to not only turn the program around, but nearly double its efficiency. In this inspiring talk, highlighted by breathtaking images from Webb, Robinson shares how trust, communication and effective leadership can bring teams together from across the globe to overcome obstacles and achieve your organization’s moonshot.

BIO

Best-known as the turnaround leader of the James Webb Space Telescope (Webb), 33-year NASA veteran Gregory Robinson is credited with transforming a program that was billions over budget and years behind schedule into one of NASA’s greatest achievements of the 21st century. Robinson’s renowned leadership skills and soft-spoken management and communication style have earned him numerous awards and honors, including being named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2022 (alongside Apple CEO Tim Cook and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky) and receiving the TIME100 Impact Award, which credited Robinson’s leadership on Webb as bringing us closer to understanding the universe.

Organized By: Sanger Leadership Center

The Leadership Dialogues speaker series is a fireside chat-style event featuring accomplished industry, political and non-profit leaders discussing the latest ideas in organizational research and ongoing practice with U-M faculty.

What does it take for a leader in a 150-year-old company to navigate change and build community with 40,000 employees?

Kofi Bruce, MBA ‘98, chief financial officer of General Mills, joins Associate Dean and Professor Gretchen Spreitzer to discuss the importance of authentic leadership and the role leaders play in creating a sense of community in their organizations, especially during times of change. Bruce, who was named CFO in 2020, is a celebrated leader with senior management experience in a broad range of industries. In addition to his role at General Mills, he is also a board member at Lifeworks, Electronic Arts, Aspen Finance Leaders Fellowship, and Partners in Food Solutions.

During his leadership tenure, Bruce has responded to societal demands for racial equity, a shifting consumer landscape, and a global health crisis in the form of COVID-19. Bruce will describe how he views his role as not only the company’s chief accountant, but a leader who has empowered employees by creating community when times were tough. Additionally, Bruce will discuss how the CFO role is increasingly responsible for engaging in environmental, social, and governance goals.

Professor Spreitzer is an award-winning researcher and the co-author of several books about positive organizational scholarship, leadership, and change management. Her research explores employee empowerment and leadership development, particularly within contexts of organizational change and decline. Professor Spreitzer will explore how scholarship relates to Bruce’s vision and practice of leadership. Join us for an engaging talk from leaders in both industry and research.

Organized By: Sessions @ Michigan

Foundations of Community Engagement is an interactive workshop for students that introduces principles and practices of equitable, ethical community engagement. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of what the term “community engagement” means, as well as the many forms it might take - from research and course-based projects to philanthropy, activism, policy, and direct service. Across all these forms of engagement, participants will learn concepts and actions that promote equitable partnerships, center community-defined priorities, and disrupt entrenched power dynamics between universities and community members. Participants will also discuss real-world community engagement scenarios that ask them to apply what they’ve learned in the workshop to various situations.

**New for 2023-24, this workshop is an updated version of Ginsberg’s long-standing Entering, Engaging, and Exiting (E3) session. If you’ve attended that session in the past, you’ll gain additional knowledge from this session.**

Foundations of Community Engagement (September 13, 2023 6:00pm) https://events.umich.edu/event/107595 107595-21820750@events.umich.edu Event Begins: Wednesday, September 13, 2023 6:00pm
Location: Off Campus Location

DESIGNING A DREAM: THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE “BLUE DREAM” HOUSE BY DS+R (September 21, 2023 6:00pm) https://events.umich.edu/event/111190 111190-21826181@events.umich.edu Event Begins: Thursday, September 21, 2023 6:00pm
Location: Walgreen Drama Center
Organized By: A. Alfred Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning

As the brainchild of collectors Julie Reyes Taubman and Robert Taubman, Blue Dream is an extraordinary house designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro (DS+R) that sought to renew the legacy of modernist architecture and art in the Hamptons. In advance of the launch of the eponymous book published by DelMonico Books, architecture critic Paul Goldberger will discuss the complex design process behind Blue Dream with DS+R partner Charles Renfro and Associate Principal Holly Deichmann. The panel discussion will offer insights into how Blue Dream reinterprets organic architecture for the 21st century, and stands as a striking addition to the roster of architecturally ambitious modernist houses on Long Island.

Paul Goldberger is a Contributing Editor at Vanity Fair. From 1997 through 2011, he served as the Architecture Critic for The New Yorker, where he wrote the magazine’s celebrated “Sky Line” column. He is the author of numerous books, including BALLPARK: Baseball in the American City, Building Art: The Life and Work of Frank Gehry, Building with History, Why Architecture Matters, Building Up and Tearing Down, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, and DUMBO: The Making of a Neighborhood and the Rebirth of Brooklyn. He also holds the Joseph Urban Chair in Design and Architecture at The New School in New York City and was formerly Dean of the Parsons School of Design at The New School.

He began his career at The New York Times, where in 1984 his architecture criticism was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Distinguished Criticism. In 2012 he received the Vincent Scully Prize from the National Building Museum in recognition of the influence his writing has had on the public’s understanding of architecture. In 2017, he received the Award in Architecture of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, which called him “the doyen of American architectural critics.”

Charles Renfro joined Diller Scofidio + Renfro (DS+R) in 1997 and became a Partner in 2004. He was the Partner-in-Charge of Blue Dream, leading the complex design process. He led the design and construction of the studio’s first concert hall outside of the US – The Tianjin Juilliard School in China – as well as the studio’s first public park outside of the US – Zaryadye Park in Moscow. Charles has also led the design of much of DS+R’s academic portfolio, with projects completed at Stanford University, UC Berkeley, Brown University, the University of Chicago, and the recently completed Columbia Business School. Charles is also leading the design of two projects in his native Texas: the renovation of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Kalita Humphreys Theater in Dallas, and Sarofim Hall, a new home for Rice University’s Visual Arts department in Houston. Charles is a board member of BOFFO, a nonprofit organization that supports the work of queer LGBTQ+ BIPOC artists and designers. He has twice been recognized with the “Out100” list, and also distinguished as a notable LGBTQ leader by Crain’s New York Business. He is a faculty member of the School of Visual Arts.

Holly Deichmann is an Associate Principal at Diller Scofidio + Renfro (DS+R). She was the Project Director for Blue Dream, overseeing the complex design process alongside Partner-in-Charge Charles Renfro. She was also the Project Architect of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and the Project Director for the adjoining Park Union Bridge, a curved steel structure connecting the museum campus to the adjacent America the Beautiful Park. Holly was also the Project Director for the recently-completed Susan Wakil Health Building at the University of Sydney in Australia. She is currently the Project Director for the New Museum of Transport in Budapest, a new home for the museum located on the brownfield site of a former train repair facility.
