SUMMARY:Exhibition:Creating the Future of Medicine for 175 Years
DESCRIPTION:As the Medical School celebrates the anniversary of its opening in the fall of 1850\, and Michigan Medicine marks the 100th anniversary of the opening of the \"Old Main\" University Hospital that served as its flagship from 1925 to 1986\, a free museum exhibit explores 175 years of medical education\, research and clinical care. \n\nOpen to the public at the Museum on Main Street operated by the Washtenaw County Historical Society\, the exhibit includes artifacts\, photos and facts about how U-M's medical community grew from humble beginnings on the Diag to become one of the nation's largest and most respected academic medical centers. It also asks visitors to ponder their own attitudes and experiences\, and to submit memories and photos of their time working\, studying\, volunteering or receiving care at U-M's medical campus and beyond. There are also activities for young visitors.\n\nThe museum is open to the public every Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.\n\nFull details about the exhibit\, including parking instructions and how to book a free private group tour on a weekday\, are available at http://michmed.org/museum\n\nThe museum has an accessible entrance at the rear of the building.

DESCRIPTION:Infectious folk-pop from Austin\, Texas\n\nWild Child is the Austin-born songwriting partnership of Kelsey Wilson and Alexander Beggins\, a duo whose chemistry has powered more than a decade of acclaimed indie-folk releases and spirited live shows. What began as a spontaneous creative spark in the back of a tour van evolved into one of Austin’s most beloved bands\, known for warm harmonies\, candid storytelling\, and an ever-evolving blend of folk\, pop\, and soulful brass-driven arrangements. After years of near-constant touring and the launch of their individual projects - Wilson’s Motown-leaning Sir Woman and Beggins’ dream-pop alter ego CoCo Zandi - the pair stepped back to explore new sounds and space\, unsure when or how Wild Child might return.\n\nThat return arrived in an unexpected moment of stillness. When the world shut down and stages went dark\, Wilson and Beggins found themselves back in a room together\, preparing for online performances\, rediscovering the spark that shaped their earliest songs. Within minutes\, new material poured out - an organic reminder of the ease and honesty that has always defined their collaboration. SUMMARY:Exhibition:Muted Volumes: Book-Objects\, Patterned Papers\, and the Closed Stacks of Buhr
DESCRIPTION:This exhibit in the Clark Library rotunda focuses on handmade decorative patterned papers when exploring books stored at the library's Buhr Offsite Shelving Facility. Decorative paper\, noticed when walking through the stack's aisles or surprising you when you casually flip through a book\, can really catch your eye. But because the Buhr stacks are closed from browsing\, the density and dimensionality of its nearly 3 million books are reduced to title searches on a screen.\n\nAs a response to these reflections\, artist and library staff member Stephanie Osorio shares her handbound unopenable book-objects as symbolic stand-ins for forgotten books at Buhr — the books that don’t get a chance to be noticed. Along with the book-objects are the carved woodblocks that made prints to decorate them. Some books from Buhr that inspired this project with their original decorated patterned papers will also be on display.\n\nView the exhibit anytime the Hatcher Library is open\, and join us for an opening reception on Thursday\, May 14th\, 5pm - 6:30pm\, for an opportunity to hear from the artist and engage with the book-objects.

DESCRIPTION:Academy Overview\nThe AI for Scientists and Engineers Summer Academy is designed for academic researchers\, including university faculty\, in a wide range of domains including biological sciences\, engineering\, environmental and earth science\, physical sciences\, and social sciences. Participants will learn the mathematical foundations of machine learning (ML)\, critically assess the data used in AI models\, evaluate and validate ML model outputs\, and understand strategic considerations for incorporating AI into research workflows. The prerequisites are college level math and statistics\; prior coding experience is not required. Specific topics include supervised and unsupervised learning\, neural networks\, causal inference\, and science-informed machine learning models.\n\nThe Summer Academy consists of three weeks of instructions\, with different focuses. SUMMARY:Exhibition:Debbie Thompson Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Debbie Thompson works predominantly in clay and draws inspiration from the natural world\, which she frequently references in her work. Her interest in ceramics began in high school when she took classes at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills\, Michigan. She later pursued her passion at the University of Michigan School of Art and Design\, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She also holds a Master of Arts from Eastern Michigan University and has completed post-graduate studio coursework at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago\, Maryland Institute College of Art\, Rhode Island School of Design\, and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts.\n\nThompson taught visual art in the Ann Arbor Public Schools for 34 years and has also taught at the University of Michigan School of Education and Washtenaw Community College. She exhibits her work both locally and nationally and was a member of the Clay Gallery. She continues her practice in her home studio and at the Potters Guild in Ann Arbor\, Michigan. She is a member of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts and the Michigan Ceramic Art Association. Her work is included in the permanent collection of the International Dinnerware Museum.\n\nThompson’s work has been inspired by the natural world since childhood. Although she initially studied biology in college\, she later shifted her focus to visual art. The textures\, colors\, and forms in her pieces are drawn directly from nature.\nSeeds—structures that have enabled plants to move through space and time for over 600 million years—are central to her recent work. They are vital to the continuation of plant life\, and therefore to human survival.\n\nIn this exhibition\, Thompson explores the unseen structures of seeds as revealed through electron microscopy. These images highlight the intricate beauty and ingenuity of nature\, which she interprets through her wall-mounted ceramic sculptures.\n\nAt a time when our planet and its ecosystems face increasing threats\, Thompson’s work serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving the natural world. Recognizing the beauty and significance of these often-unseen forms is a crucial first step toward protecting the life systems on which we all depend.

DESCRIPTION:Melissa Jones works across multiple mediums\, consistently centering the human figure\, texture\, and elements of the natural world—such as weathered surfaces\, bones\, and rust. These recurring interests create a unifying thread throughout her work\, regardless of medium.\nShe creates in both two and three dimensions\, including sculpture\, painting\, and assemblage. Oil painting is her preferred medium\, allowing her to work slowly in layered processes and achieve a wide range of nuanced effects.\n\nJones’ work is primarily figurative\, often narrative and autobiographical—though not strictly self-portraiture. Her figures are intended to evoke emotional responses that are less commonly found in landscape or other painting genres. She draws inspiration from the visual poetry of the human form\, finding beauty in subtle details: the turn of a wrist\, the curve of a spine\, or the shadow along a collarbone. She is captivated by how light illuminates the skin and how shadow defines form\, embracing the challenge of capturing this complexity in paint. Beyond physical representation\, her work also explores psychological dimensions\, aiming to convey mood and emotional depth.\n\nHer technique\, in both painting and sculpture\, is highly detailed\, realistic\, and developed gradually over time through layered processes. At times\, her work enters the realm of magical realism. While deeply personal\, her narratives remain intentionally ambiguous\, inviting viewers to interpret the imagery through their own perspectives and experiences.\n\nBorn and raised in Detroit\, Jones studied at Wayne State University\, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education and a Master’s degree in Art Therapy. She previously worked as an art educator in the West Bloomfield School District and has exhibited professionally throughout the Detroit area since 2006\, receiving numerous awards. In addition\, she served as a board member and exhibition committee member for the Detroit Artists Market.

DESCRIPTION:Academy Overview\nThe AI for Scientists and Engineers Summer Academy is designed for academic researchers\, including university faculty\, in a wide range of domains including biological sciences\, engineering\, environmental and earth science\, physical sciences\, and social sciences. DESCRIPTION:Debbie Thompson works predominantly in clay and draws inspiration from the natural world\, which she frequently references in her work. Her interest in ceramics began in high school when she took classes at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills\, Michigan. She later pursued her passion at the University of Michigan School of Art and Design\, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She also holds a Master of Arts from Eastern Michigan University and has completed post-graduate studio coursework at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago\, Maryland Institute College of Art\, Rhode Island School of Design\, and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts.\n\nThompson taught visual art in the Ann Arbor Public Schools for 34 years and has also taught at the University of Michigan School of Education and Washtenaw Community College. She exhibits her work both locally and nationally and was a member of the Clay Gallery. She continues her practice in her home studio and at the Potters Guild in Ann Arbor\, Michigan. She is a member of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts and the Michigan Ceramic Art Association. Her work is included in the permanent collection of the International Dinnerware Museum.\n\nThompson’s work has been inspired by the natural world since childhood. Although she initially studied biology in college\, she later shifted her focus to visual art. The textures\, colors\, and forms in her pieces are drawn directly from nature.\nSeeds—structures that have enabled plants to move through space and time for over 600 million years—are central to her recent work. They are vital to the continuation of plant life\, and therefore to human survival.\n\nIn this exhibition\, Thompson explores the unseen structures of seeds as revealed through electron microscopy. These images highlight the intricate beauty and ingenuity of nature\, which she interprets through her wall-mounted ceramic sculptures.\n\nAt a time when our planet and its ecosystems face increasing threats\, Thompson’s work serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving the natural world. Recognizing the beauty and significance of these often-unseen forms is a crucial first step toward protecting the life systems on which we all depend.

Beyond physical representation\, her work also explores psychological dimensions\, aiming to convey mood and emotional depth.\n\nHer technique\, in both painting and sculpture\, is highly detailed\, realistic\, and developed gradually over time through layered processes. At times\, her work enters the realm of magical realism. While deeply personal\, her narratives remain intentionally ambiguous\, inviting viewers to interpret the imagery through their own perspectives and experiences.\n\nBorn and raised in Detroit\, Jones studied at Wayne State University\, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education and a Master’s degree in Art Therapy. She previously worked as an art educator in the West Bloomfield School District and has exhibited professionally throughout the Detroit area since 2006\, receiving numerous awards. In addition\, she served as a board member and exhibition committee member for the Detroit Artists Market.

SUMMARY:Exhibition:Muted Volumes: Book-Objects\, Patterned Papers\, and the Closed Stacks of Buhr
DESCRIPTION:This exhibit in the Clark Library rotunda focuses on handmade decorative patterned papers when exploring books stored at the library's Buhr Offsite Shelving Facility. Decorative paper\, noticed when walking through the stack's aisles or surprising you when you casually flip through a book\, can really catch your eye. But because the Buhr stacks are closed from browsing\, the density and dimensionality of its nearly 3 million books are reduced to title searches on a screen.\n\nAs a response to these reflections\, artist and library staff member Stephanie Osorio shares her handbound unopenable book-objects as symbolic stand-ins for forgotten books at Buhr — the books that don’t get a chance to be noticed. Along with the book-objects are the carved woodblocks that made prints to decorate them. Some books from Buhr that inspired this project with their original decorated patterned papers will also be on display.\n\nView the exhibit anytime the Hatcher Library is open\, and join us for an opening reception on Thursday\, May 14th\, 5pm - 6:30pm\, for an opportunity to hear from the artist and engage with the book-objects.

SUMMARY:Lecture / Discussion:Pettingill Lecture in Natural History: “Beavers: Architects of Climate Resilience”
DESCRIPTION:As part of the 2026 Summer Lecture Series at the University of Michigan Biological Station (UMBS)\, Dr. Emily Fairfax will give the Pettingill Lecture in Natural History. The free\, public talk is titled “Beavers: Architects of Climate Resilience.”\n\nFairfax is an assistant professor of geography at the University of Minnesota and an affiliate faculty member at the Saint Anthony Falls Laboratory.\n\nShe uses a combination of remote sensing\, modeling\, and field work to understand how beaver ecosystem engineering can create drought and fire-resistant patches in the landscape under a changing climate. \n\nBeaver dams and beaver mimicry (e.g. Beaver Dam Analogs) are gaining popularity as a low‐cost\, nature-based strategy to build climate resiliency at the landscape scale.\n\nHere in the Great Lakes Region\, we are experiencing wetter winters\, hotter and drier summers\, flashier storms\, and a longer frost-free season.\n\nBeaver ecosystem engineering can help mitigate some of these impacts on local to watershed scales.\n\nBeavers slow and store water in their ponds\, canals\, and the surrounding soil during flood periods which can then be accessed by riparian vegetation during droughts.\n\nAs a result\, the well-watered vegetation in beaver-dammed riparian corridors is less flammable. \n\nFairfax’s research has shown that these beaver-influenced patches of the landscape stay green and can serve as climate refugia\, preserving intact\, mature riparian habitat\, even during extreme drought and fire.\n\nShe suggests that perhaps instead of relying solely on human engineering and management to create and maintain healthy waterways and riparian zones\, humans could benefit from partnering with beaver’s ecosystem engineering to achieve the same goals at a lower cost. \n\nFairfax double majored in chemistry and physics as an undergraduate at Carleton College\, then went on to earn a Ph.D. in geological sciences with an emphasis in hydrologic sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder.\n\nHer research has been featured internationally in National Geographic\, the New York Times\, the LA Times\, PBS\, NPR\, BBC\, and others. When Fairfax says she can talk about beavers all day\, she’s not kidding.\n\nThe University of Michigan Biological Station serves as a gathering place to learn from the natural world\, advance research and education\, and inspire action. We leverage over a century of research and transformative experiences to drive discoveries and solutions to benefit Michigan and beyond.\n\nFounded in 1909\, UMBS supports long-term research and education through immersive\, field-based courses and features state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for data collection and analysis to help any field researcher be productive. SUMMARY:Exhibition:Muted Volumes: Book-Objects\, Patterned Papers\, and the Closed Stacks of Buhr
DESCRIPTION:This exhibit in the Clark Library rotunda focuses on handmade decorative patterned papers when exploring books stored at the library's Buhr Offsite Shelving Facility. Decorative paper\, noticed when walking through the stack's aisles or surprising you when you casually flip through a book\, can really catch your eye. But because the Buhr stacks are closed from browsing\, the density and dimensionality of its nearly 3 million books are reduced to title searches on a screen.\n\nAs a response to these reflections\, artist and library staff member Stephanie Osorio shares her handbound unopenable book-objects as symbolic stand-ins for forgotten books at Buhr — the books that don’t get a chance to be noticed. Along with the book-objects are the carved woodblocks that made prints to decorate them. Some books from Buhr that inspired this project with their original decorated patterned papers will also be on display.\n\nView the exhibit anytime the Hatcher Library is open\, and join us for an opening reception on Thursday\, May 14th\, 5pm - 6:30pm\, for an opportunity to hear from the artist and engage with the book-objects.

DESCRIPTION:Debbie Thompson works predominantly in clay and draws inspiration from the natural world\, which she frequently references in her work. Her interest in ceramics began in high school when she took classes at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills\, Michigan. She later pursued her passion at the University of Michigan School of Art and Design\, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She also holds a Master of Arts from Eastern Michigan University and has completed post-graduate studio coursework at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago\, Maryland Institute College of Art\, Rhode Island School of Design\, and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts.\n\nThompson taught visual art in the Ann Arbor Public Schools for 34 years and has also taught at the University of Michigan School of Education and Washtenaw Community College. She exhibits her work both locally and nationally and was a member of the Clay Gallery. She continues her practice in her home studio and at the Potters Guild in Ann Arbor\, Michigan. She is a member of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts and the Michigan Ceramic Art Association. Her work is included in the permanent collection of the International Dinnerware Museum.\n\nThompson’s work has been inspired by the natural world since childhood. Although she initially studied biology in college\, she later shifted her focus to visual art. The textures\, colors\, and forms in her pieces are drawn directly from nature.\nSeeds—structures that have enabled plants to move through space and time for over 600 million years—are central to her recent work. They are vital to the continuation of plant life\, and therefore to human survival.\n\nIn this exhibition\, Thompson explores the unseen structures of seeds as revealed through electron microscopy. These images highlight the intricate beauty and ingenuity of nature\, which she interprets through her wall-mounted ceramic sculptures.\n\nAt a time when our planet and its ecosystems face increasing threats\, Thompson’s work serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving the natural world. Recognizing the beauty and significance of these often-unseen forms is a crucial first step toward protecting the life systems on which we all depend.

DESCRIPTION:This exhibit in the Clark Library rotunda focuses on handmade decorative patterned papers when exploring books stored at the library's Buhr Offsite Shelving Facility. Decorative paper\, noticed when walking through the stack's aisles or surprising you when you casually flip through a book\, can really catch your eye. But because the Buhr stacks are closed from browsing\, the density and dimensionality of its nearly 3 million books are reduced to title searches on a screen.\n\nAs a response to these reflections\, artist and library staff member Stephanie Osorio shares her handbound unopenable book-objects as symbolic stand-ins for forgotten books at Buhr — the books that don’t get a chance to be noticed. Along with the book-objects are the carved woodblocks that made prints to decorate them. Some books from Buhr that inspired this project with their original decorated patterned papers will also be on display.\n\nView the exhibit anytime the Hatcher Library is open\, and join us for an opening reception on Thursday\, May 14th\, 5pm - 6:30pm\, for an opportunity to hear from the artist and engage with the book-objects.

DESCRIPTION:Debbie Thompson works predominantly in clay and draws inspiration from the natural world\, which she frequently references in her work. Her interest in ceramics began in high school when she took classes at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills\, Michigan. She later pursued her passion at the University of Michigan School of Art and Design\, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She also holds a Master of Arts from Eastern Michigan University and has completed post-graduate studio coursework at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago\, Maryland Institute College of Art\, Rhode Island School of Design\, and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts.\n\nThompson taught visual art in the Ann Arbor Public Schools for 34 years and has also taught at the University of Michigan School of Education and Washtenaw Community College. She exhibits her work both locally and nationally and was a member of the Clay Gallery. She continues her practice in her home studio and at the Potters Guild in Ann Arbor\, Michigan. She is a member of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts and the Michigan Ceramic Art Association. Her work is included in the permanent collection of the International Dinnerware Museum.\n\nThompson’s work has been inspired by the natural world since childhood. Although she initially studied biology in college\, she later shifted her focus to visual art. The textures\, colors\, and forms in her pieces are drawn directly from nature.\nSeeds—structures that have enabled plants to move through space and time for over 600 million years—are central to her recent work. They are vital to the continuation of plant life\, and therefore to human survival.\n\nIn this exhibition\, Thompson explores the unseen structures of seeds as revealed through electron microscopy. These images highlight the intricate beauty and ingenuity of nature\, which she interprets through her wall-mounted ceramic sculptures.\n\nAt a time when our planet and its ecosystems face increasing threats\, Thompson’s work serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving the natural world. Recognizing the beauty and significance of these often-unseen forms is a crucial first step toward protecting the life systems on which we all depend.

DESCRIPTION:Melissa Jones works across multiple mediums\, consistently centering the human figure\, texture\, and elements of the natural world—such as weathered surfaces\, bones\, and rust. These recurring interests create a unifying thread throughout her work\, regardless of medium.\nShe creates in both two and three dimensions\, including sculpture\, painting\, and assemblage. Oil painting is her preferred medium\, allowing her to work slowly in layered processes and achieve a wide range of nuanced effects.\n\nJones’ work is primarily figurative\, often narrative and autobiographical—though not strictly self-portraiture. Her figures are intended to evoke emotional responses that are less commonly found in landscape or other painting genres. She draws inspiration from the visual poetry of the human form\, finding beauty in subtle details: the turn of a wrist\, the curve of a spine\, or the shadow along a collarbone. She is captivated by how light illuminates the skin and how shadow defines form\, embracing the challenge of capturing this complexity in paint. Beyond physical representation\, her work also explores psychological dimensions\, aiming to convey mood and emotional depth.\n\nHer technique\, in both painting and sculpture\, is highly detailed\, realistic\, and developed gradually over time through layered processes. At times\, her work enters the realm of magical realism. While deeply personal\, her narratives remain intentionally ambiguous\, inviting viewers to interpret the imagery through their own perspectives and experiences.\n\nBorn and raised in Detroit\, Jones studied at Wayne State University\, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education and a Master’s degree in Art Therapy. She previously worked as an art educator in the West Bloomfield School District and has exhibited professionally throughout the Detroit area since 2006\, receiving numerous awards. In addition\, she served as a board member and exhibition committee member for the Detroit Artists Market.

DESCRIPTION:“fast picking\, bright harmonies\, and timeless lyricism” –Glide Magazine\n\nHow did East Nash Grass follow up their 2024 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) award for Best New Artist? By earning a nomination for Entertainer of the Year\, IBMA’s highest honor\, in 2025\, and celebrating fiddler Maddie Denton’s win as Fiddler of the Year. In short\, East Nash Grass have quickly established themselves as the fresh new face of Nashville’s storied bluegrass tradition\, a supergroup of rising stars: Grand Master Fiddle champion Denton is joined by banjo player Cory Walker (banjo player on the five-time nominated “Carter & Cleveland” album this year\, among numerous accolades)\, 2022 IBMA Momentum Mandolin Player of the Year Harry Clark\, and charismatic frontman James Kee. This is an all-star band that harkens back to the sort of talent collected in the original Blue Grass Boys and a powerhouse leader of the next generation in bluegrass excellence.\n\nRolling Stone had them among the “best of what we saw” at RockyGrass in 2025\, praising their “rowdy set of high-octane bluegrass numbers\,” and noting\, “The group itself is a rapidly-rising force on the national touring scene.”\n\nAnd “rowdy” is right. They are far more than just a group of impressive instrumental technicians\, building on night after night of three-set gigs on Nashville’s East Side\, playing tiny stages for the love of it between tours backing bigger acts. It’s a hard-forged bond that translates into an infectious on-stage energy that audiences can’t seem to get enough of.\n\nWith their new release\, “All God’s Children” (Mountain Fever\, August 22\, 2025)\, they show a depth and feel\, too\, that goes well beyond the traditional bluegrass fair\, with nods to Gypsy jazz and East Village folk\, and eye toward moving bluegrass forward and keeping it from being too mired in the past. If East Nash Grass isn’t the future of the genre it’s only because they’re already among its leading lights.

DESCRIPTION:This exhibit in the Clark Library rotunda focuses on handmade decorative patterned papers when exploring books stored at the library's Buhr Offsite Shelving Facility. Decorative paper\, noticed when walking through the stack's aisles or surprising you when you casually flip through a book\, can really catch your eye. But because the Buhr stacks are closed from browsing\, the density and dimensionality of its nearly 3 million books are reduced to title searches on a screen.\n\nAs a response to these reflections\, artist and library staff member Stephanie Osorio shares her handbound unopenable book-objects as symbolic stand-ins for forgotten books at Buhr — the books that don’t get a chance to be noticed. Along with the book-objects are the carved woodblocks that made prints to decorate them. Some books from Buhr that inspired this project with their original decorated patterned papers will also be on display.\n\nView the exhibit anytime the Hatcher Library is open\, and join us for an opening reception on Thursday\, May 14th\, 5pm - 6:30pm\, for an opportunity to hear from the artist and engage with the book-objects.

SUMMARY:Exhibition:Fore-Site (Phase 3): The Stamps Gallery Pillar Project
DESCRIPTION:From September 2025 through August 2026\, Stamps Gallery is partnering in a curatorial collaboration with two Ypsilanti-based\, artist-run project spaces led by Stamps alumni: C.Y.N.K. Studios\, directed by Sally Clegg (Lecturer III and Student Exhibition Coordinator\, MFA ’20) and Abhishek Narula (MFA ’20)\; and Sometimes Space\, directed by Nathan Byrne (Lecturer I\, MFA ’21). Each space hosts dozens of artists annually for exhibitions\, performances\, and events\, fostering experimental work and building community. For this project\, Byrne\, Clegg\, and Narula have been commissioned to reimagine the pillars on Division Street that flank the gallery. SUMMARY:Exhibition:Creating the Future of Medicine for 175 Years
DESCRIPTION:As the Medical School celebrates the anniversary of its opening in the fall of 1850\, and Michigan Medicine marks the 100th anniversary of the opening of the \"Old Main\" University Hospital that served as its flagship from 1925 to 1986\, a free museum exhibit explores 175 years of medical education\, research and clinical care. \n\nOpen to the public at the Museum on Main Street operated by the Washtenaw County Historical Society\, the exhibit includes artifacts\, photos and facts about how U-M's medical community grew from humble beginnings on the Diag to become one of the nation's largest and most respected academic medical centers. It also asks visitors to ponder their own attitudes and experiences\, and to submit memories and photos of their time working\, studying\, volunteering or receiving care at U-M's medical campus and beyond. There are also activities for young visitors.\n\nThe museum is open to the public every Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.\n\nFull details about the exhibit\, including parking instructions and how to book a free private group tour on a weekday\, are available at http://michmed.org/museum\n\nThe museum has an accessible entrance at the rear of the building.
