What’s Happening at U-M Museum of Art: An Exhibition Preview--OLLI After 5:00

OLLI at U-M (50+)

Join Carole McNamara, the museum’s Senior Curator of Western Art, and Carrie Throm, Deputy Director for Development and External Relations, for an update on UMMA’s exciting new projects, including a sneak peek of this fall’s landmark exhibition, “Benjamin West: General Wolfe and the Art of Empire.” The exhibition’s centerpiece–a prized work from 1776 that belongs to U-M’s Clements Library–became one of the most celebrated paintings in Britain. Learn from Carole how she as curator assembled over 40 related works of art from the U.S., Canada, and Europe to create such an in-depth exhibition.
