Heather McHugh is Pollock Professor of Poetry at the University of Washington, and a core faculty participant in the low-residency MFA at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina. Of her many books of translation, poetry, and essays, the most recent are Upgraded to Serious, Glottal Stop (poems of Paul Celan, with co-translator Nikolai Popov), and Broken English: poetry and partiality.
