The U-M Life Sciences Orchestra is preparing for its 25th season of blending music and science, and a concert on Sunday, Jan. 12 at Hill Auditorium featuring Anton Bruckner's Symphony No. 8.

The LSO, which is part of Michigan Medicine's Gifts of Art program, is conducted by music director Nicholas Bromilow, a graduate student in the nationally renowned conducting program of the U-M School of Music, Theatre, and Dance.

All orchestral musicians in the U-M health, medical and life sciences community are eligible to audition, including faculty, staff, students, alumni and adult family members. Undergraduate students must have a declared major in the life or health sciences.

The LSO will hold auditions on September 4, 5, 6 and 7. All prospective members must audition, and those who have not played with the LSO before should also complete a Prospective Member Forum.

See https://www.michiganmedicine.org/community/arts-health/life-sciences-orchestra/join-life-sciences-orchestra for full details including required audition excerpts and instructions.

A link to sign up for an audition will be available soon.
