Dr. Sylvia Akpene Takyi is a Research Fellow at the Center for Global Health and Equity, University of Michigan. She has over a decade of experience in environmental epidemiology, community-engaged research, and public health interventions, with a focus on vulnerable populations, including women and children exposed to environmental hazards. Dr. Takyi leads research on the health impacts of informal e-waste recycling, environmental exposures, and metabolic health outcomes, and has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications.
