Early History and Breaking Developments

This presentation will explore museums as places that privilege the sense of sight as opposed to experiences from centuries past where visitors were allowed and encouraged to physically interact with objects. Contemporary attempts by museums to return to multi-sensory visitor engagement will be presented.
