Sonia Hirt is a scholar of urban form who studies how cultures and institutions interact with the built environment. Hirt is currently a Professor of Urban Affairs and Planning at the College of Architecture and Urban Studies at Virginia Tech, where she also serves as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
