Singer-songwriter David Berkeley was born in New Jersey and has lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts (where he got a degree in literature and philosophy from Harvard), Alaska, Idaho (where he worked as a river-rafting guide), Brooklyn, Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, and Corsica. Each of those places has left its mark on his sparse, exquisitely atmospheric guitar-based songs. David has been compared to both Cat and Sufjian Stevens as well as a host of other literate songwriters, and Insite Atlanta calls him "one of the undiscovered gems of the modern folk music scene. He has new music on the way, and you can also pick up a copy of his new book, "140 Goats and a Guitar."
