Ana Popovic opened for B.B. King at his Michigan Theater show last summer, and we all got a glimpse of a blues musician of a different kind! Sultry and lanky, with a punchy guitar style all her own, Ana is also a font of extremely catchy original blues and blues-rock songs. Born in Belgrade in 1976, Ana took the European blues world by storm before beginning to record in Memphis, New Orleans, and L.A. in the early 2000s. Ana has been a featured artist on NPR Music as well as a part of the all-star 2014 Experience Hendrix nationwide tour with Buddy Guy, Bootsy Collins, Brad Whitford (Aerosmith), Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd & Zakk Wylde.
