The Motor City Quack Attack fundraiser is a duck derby consisting of 5,000 rubber duckies racing down a canal just east of the Detroit River. Anyone is allowed to “adopt” as many rubber duckies as they please for the race. Each adopted duck will receive a number attached to the bottom, and the numbers will correspond with each adopter. The first duck to cross the finish line will result in a grand prize of $1,000 for the adopter with the corresponding number, second place will receive $500, and third place will receive $250.
