Jorma Kaukonen is one of the most important guitarists of our time with a body of work that has grown over four decades now. His brilliant finger-picked fretwork and songwriting, blending rock, blues, folk and country influences, helped make stars out of Jefferson Airplane and its equally legendary (and still active) spinoff band Hot Tuna. Now, he says, "I find myself living a simple life with my music." His shows are steeped in acoustic country and blues roots, and they have a quiet mastery that's really something to see. Jorma has been very active in the studio, and his new Red House–label solo album, "Ain't in No Hurry," features a lost Woody Guthrie lyric set to music by Jorma and producer Larry Campbell as well as a killer version of the standard "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out."
